Abstract: | The exploration program so far was designed to discover near surface mineralisation for open cut mining. One diamond drill hole was drilled into the Li geochemical lead anomaly during this exploration phase. Although it did not intersect any massive sulphide orebodies, it contains anomalous lead and zinc assays, and galena and pyrite bearing veins. The presence of indicators of mineralisation similar to those that occur above the ore zones at Woodcutters suggests possible ore zones nearby. Further diamond drilling is proposed to determine the stratigraphic position of the Li anomaly within the Whites Formation, test the underground orebody potential and to finalise the testing for near surface ore reserves. |
