Abstract: | Exploration Licence 5028 lies between the current gold producing areas at Brocks Creek and Howley. The area is largely covered with soil and alluvium with isolated hills formed by Burrell Creek Formation greywackes and siltstones. A gold exploration programme of geological reconnaissance, soil and rock chip sampling, was carried out in November/December 1987 at a cost of $8,500. Results were negative and no further hardrock gold exploration is recommended. An alluvial gold testing programme, with an estimated cost of $7,700, is recommended for the 1988 field season. |
