Abstract: | Investigation located two major limestone outcrops in the north east and central east of the EL as shown shaded on map. No tracks were evident in the area and access was gained by 4WD vehicle and on foot from the Stuart Highway approx 1 km north west of the low level Stuart Highway intersection. The outcrops in the area are described as Tindall Limestone of Middle Cambrian age, and rise in some areas up to 8 m. above the natural surface, the dips are flat. Chip samples were taken commencing at Point A and extending down the eastern edge of the outcrop at approximately 100 metre intervals from the top surface, intermediate and base of the outcrop, as per attached sheet. Assaying was carried out by the Department of Mines & Energy facility. |
