Abstract: | The work carried out in the Exploration Licences includes systematic rock chip sampling within the carbonaceous shales for gold, integrated geochemical stream sediment and magnetite concentrate sampling in the northwestern part of the Exploration Licences and a preliminary heavy mineral pan concentrate survey in the southwestern part of the area, within tourmaline quartzites, for tin. The results of these investigations, in particularly the geochemical survey in the northwestern part of the area, indicated a number of areas with anomalous lead and copper values. These anomalies were initially checked systematically in the field and one of these anomalies was followed up by detailed gridding and soil sampling. It is recommended from available results, which point out that no significant mineralization of interest is available in these areas, that all these ELs be relinquished. |
