Abstract: | During 1975, a programme involving detailed geological mapping, soil geochemical sampling and diamond drilling was carried out along the Emu Fault Zone. This programme was part of a continuing exploration survey started in 1972. The aim of the survey is to investigate the potential for coarse-grained copper, lead and zinc mineralisation. Geological mapping led to the re-appraisal of an IP survey done in 1965, and another IP survey traverse was conducted over mapped area during the year. Drilling at Squib failed to locate any sulphide mineralisation, and the surface exposures are considered to be of limited extent. No further work is planned at that prospect. |
