Abstract: | Exploration Licence EL7442 was explored for Au-Cu-Bi mineralisation. The work involved interpretive assessment of an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey, grid surveying, mapping and rock chip sampling, and vacuum drilling to identify and geochemically sample weathered bedrock under cover. Mapping located ironstone of different compositions and siltstone sediments. Nine rock chip samples identified geochemically anomalous lithologies with values up to 4ppb Au, 80ppm Cu and 2520ppm Bi. Although incomplete, drilling sugested that jasperitic quartz porphyry was also associated with the ironstone. |
