Title: Final Report for EL 4752 Mount Porter, 26 May 1988 to 25 January 1989
Title Holder / Company: Renison Goldfields

Abstract: Regional mapping and sampling during the year has downgraded the potential over most of EL 4752. A zone of ferruginisation, brecciation and quartz veining was located within the Koolpin Formation extending form Mount Porter south 1.3 km towards the granite contact. Five diamond drill holes tested this in the vicinity of Mount Porter. Drillhole MP 24 had 17 m at 1.33 g/t Au. A ground magnetics survey was conducted over the main Mount Porter ridge and an intense magnetic anomaly was located at the Gerowie Tuff/ Koolpin Formation contact. The magnetic anomaly remained untested and Goldfileds felt there was still some potential for economic gold in the vicinity of drillhole MP24, but overall it was not worth retaining the ground.
