Abstract: | Exploration in EL 5199 for the year ending 26th March, 1989, consisted of Interpretation of airborne magnetic and gravity data to define anomalies for a program of gridding, ground magnetics, alphacard surveys and detailed gravity profiles. Four targets generated by this work were subsequently percussion drilled. The anomalies are due to Cambrian basalts and Cambrian? acid voicanics which both have relatively high magnetic susceptibilities. The drilling indicated the NE part of EL 5199 has cambrian cover of at least 100 metres which is considered to be too thick to explore beneath. |
