Abstract: The investigated areas were located in a favourable geological environment in the southern outskirts of the Burnside dome. The outcrops of Burnside Granite, Zamu Dolerite, Mt. Bonnie Formation, Gerowie Tuff and the Koolpin Formation are present within the area. Surface geological - geochemical investigations have been concluded in with encouraging results. Rock chip, soil and trench channel samples were collected and assayed for gold and arsenic and occasionally for silver, copper, zinc and lead. As a result, gold mineralisations as high as 46.4ppm were detected in two different localities.
