Abstract: Gandy's Hill is situated on the northern extension of the Enterprise Anticline, approximately 2.5 km north of Pine Creek between the Stuart Highway and the old Stuart Highway. Gandy's Hill is a distinct hill rising above the surrounding rolling topography. The bill forms part of a ridge extending for approximately 4.5 km in a south-easterly direction. Vegetation at Gandy's Hill is open scrubby woodland typical of the Pine Creek region. Access is via the old Stuart Highway with a connecting dirt track approximately 1.5 km north of the Enterprise Mine. Stratigraphy at Gandy's Hill consists of siltstone and greywacke sequences with two saddle reef style structures similar to Enterprise Mine but less 'ell developed, outcropping in the area. Evaluation of this area was fast-tracked in July 1988 to enable investment decisions and negotiations to proceed in November and December 1988. The results of the resource evaluation work at the Gandy's Hill area are given below. These figures are for P.C.G. tenements and are INSITU RESOURCES with no mining constraints applied. Cut-offs are 0.9 g/t Au oxide and 1.0 g/t Au Primary. Specific gravities used are 2.4 g/cc oxide and 2.7 g/cc primary (as at Enterprise).
