Abstract: Surface geological investigations comprising geological mapping, outcrop sampling and trench channel sampling were carried out for gold in the areas of MIJN 941, MCN 44 and MCN 529. Mineralised zones with as high as 2.44 ppm gold were detected within the areas of MLN 941 and MCN 44. Percussion drillings are recommended for further investigations within the anomalous zones. Gold occurrences were located within the areas of MLN 941 and MCN 44 as indicated by the results of trenching. Percussion drillings to search for the extensions of the gold anomalies subsurface and auger sampling of alluvium are recommended. Initially five RC drill holes totalling in 350 meters and 500 line meters of auger sampling are needed in the areas of MLN 941 and MCN 44. Proposed drill locations are marked on the geology map. Very little hope exists for gold in the area of MCN 529. Moreover, limited auger sampling is also recommended to test the alluvium in this part.
