Abstract: | Diamond drilling of the T-17 Prospect and Legumes Fault, for a total of 411.9m, was completed. Results were disappointing with the best assay being 1m @ 2.73 g/t Au in DDH MP15. All other intersections of gold mineralisation were restricted to intervals of less than 2m and grades of less than 0.40 g/t Au. No further work is warranted at T-17, but may be required at Legumes Fault. Continued mapping at Mount Porter South revealed strike continuations of Legumes Fault which contained anomalous Au, Pb and As. In addition, interesting potential exists within the Koolpin Formation in the south of the mapped area where ('?Middle) Koolpin Formation ironstones were shown to be auriferous (7m @ 0.31g/t Au). Further work is clearly warranted in the later area, given the potential for Cosmo -Howley style deposits in the Middle Koolpin at Mount Porter. Several new fold axes were also mapped west o the previously known anticlines. These also require further work. |
