| Abstract: | Reconnaissance of the EL located an area of abundant quartz float with some prospector workings on sub block 64/13. This area, designated the Bower Bird Prospect, was investigated by gridding, geological mapping and rock chip sampling. Anomalous arsenic and gold is associated with stratabound sheets of vein quartz and metachert in a southeast plunging anticlinal structure. Host rocks are interpreted as metasediments of the Gerowie Tuff. Gold values average 0.5 ppm with peak at 4.08 and further work will be undertaken along the structure. No quartz veining or alteration was observed on sub block 64/l4 and it is recommended for relinquishment. |
