Abstract: ML 449N previously ML 1380B is located in the Cox Peninsula area and covers the potentially tin-tantalum bearing pegmatites of Crawfords and Roses. The prospects are located within EL 4183 north off the Mandorah Road and approximately 3.5 kms north-west of the Observation Hill Plantsite. The prospects are located on the gently sloping southern (Crawfords) and eastern (Roses) extremity of a laterized upland plain. There are no records of production from these deposits, which were worked by shallow pits at the turn of the century. Work carried out at Crawfords included; Geological mapping 1:500 scale, exploration trenching and mapping 1:250 scale, 6 trenches and 235 m of trenching using Case 680 Backhoe, Auger drilling - 108 holes and 839.7 m of auger drilling, a total of 216 exploration samples were collected, concentrated and assayed. Work carried out at Roses included; Geological mapping 1:500 scale, exploration trenching and mapping 1:250 scale 3 trenches and 77 m of trenching using a Case 680 Backhoe, Auger drilling - 20 holes and 134.4 m of auger drilling, a total of 58 exploration samples were collected concentrated and assayed.
