Annual report on EL 4457 Eva Valley for year ending 21/03/1985

Abstract

Literature review of the previous exploration programmes in the Eva Valley EL 4457 area revealed that two areas, namely the Lancewood Knoll and the Twin Ridge areas were not fully explored and that the potential of locating economic copper-gold mineralisation within the two areas has not been exhausted.

An ultra-detailed aeromagnetic survey was flown during the year.

Preliminary interpretation of the data indicated possible unexposed BIF horizons in the north east part of the licence, proximal to the Twin Ridge area which have not been tested by previous investigators. Follow-up work in the Lancewood Knoll and the Twin Ridge areas is recommended. A stream sediment sampling for bulk leach gold analyses is recommended as a test case for effectiveness of the method in the Pine Creek Geosyncline

and to locate possible mineralisation in the under-explored parts of the licence.
