Title Holder / Company: CRA Exploration
Report id: CR1985-0110
Tenure: MCC173
Year: 1985
Author: Harvey, BE
Abstract: CRAE investigated a coincident gravity and magnetic anomaly which extended into MCC 173 from GML 863E, a lease being also explored by CRAE, but under option from G S Remfry. Detailed ground magnetic and gravity surveys were undertaken in MCC 173. An angled percussion hole was drilled and ironstone intersected between 54 m and 90 m downhole. Gold assayed up to 0.2 ppm and copper up to 2000 pppm but no economic grades were reported. The hole was geophysically logged. This hole was compared to the previous DD84ES1. All work was reported only in terms of the local grid. MCC 173 was surrendered in 1985 having only been in place for four months.
