Abstract: | Kratos have been exploring the area for uranium in JV since 1975. The extensive data collected during the past 7 years has highlighted the association of uranium mineralisation with fault structures. Prospective fault structures can be traced in Westmoreland Fm but become obscured by cover when in Seigal Volcanics. A number of geophysical methods were used to test the effectiveness of the technique for delineating the obscured faults. Further testwork also continued on the JN fault, and the 2 main fault structures in Douglas Creek. The ROAC survey highlighted several anomalous trends. When viewed in conjunction with mercury in soil samples, it may delineate structures likely to contain mineralisation. |
