| Abstract: | Exploration for tin and tantalite continued during the 1981 field season with Greenbushes Tin Ltd as operator in a joint venture with Vultan Minerals Ltd. The program consisted of; Surveying and construction of prospect grids, geological mapping, power auger sampling of weathered pegmatites, costeaning and bulk sampling, reduction of samples to a heavy mineral concentrate, mineralogical examination and XRF analyses of concentrates, geochemical sampling to define non outcropping pegmatites, pegging of 17 Mineral Leases, collation of information, and preparation of a Mining proposal for the Dept. of Mines and Energy. Continuing exploration is planned for the 1982 field season. |
