Abstract: EL 1353 and EL 1354 were renewed on 8 December 1977 for a twelve month period expiring on 1 November 1978. The areas held are 1,229.83 and 366.46 k1u2respc2ctively. Information contained in this report covers the second year of tenure. A renewal application for the third year of tenure was received by The Department of Mines and Energy on 18 October 1978. Work on these licences during the second year of tenure included grading of access tracks and gridding, percussion drilling and stratigraphic holes to test for sandstone-type and calcrete-type uranium mineralization, an air core drilling programme, and geochemical analyses of drilling samples. Scintillometry and downhole logging were the exploration methods undertaken. Work on these exploration licences is done in conjunction with that done on EL 1614. Results to date have been encouraging and as such our proposed minimum expenditure covenants have been doubled to $30,000 and $20,000 respectively for the third year.
