Abstract: This report describes the results of investigations carried out within EL 220 during the year ended 31st December 1975. EL 220 is divided into three areas, A, B and C, and comprises a total of 147 square kilometres. The exploration effort was concentrated on EL 220A, Cannon Hill Area, while a similar exploration programme planned for EL 220C, Area D, was cut short by the onset of the wet season. During 1975, exploration activities consisted of a detailed investigation of the South Alligator Group metasediments in the Cannon Hill Area, involving an extensive gridding programme totalling 7.9 km of baseline and 53.2 km of traverses pegged at 400 m x 50 m centres. Geological mapping, ground radiometrics, a geochemical ratio sampling survey and a detailed transient electromagnetic survey were carried out. In Area D a gridding programme was initiated totalling 5.9 km of baseline and 16.0 km of traverses.
