Abstract: | This report summarises exploration program completed during the year 1999. The LANDSAT and SPOT satellite images and airborne geophysical survey data were utilised in the structural interpretation. The detail ground magnetic survey and detail geological mapping was conducted to test previously indicated north trending demagnetised shear zone. The survey identified three areas of high magnetic intensity, coincident with skarn-type gossans. The gossans are mineralised at surface with values up to 2.5 g/t Au 20 g/t Ag and up to 2% Cu, Pb, Zn. Rock chip sampling at the footwall of the gossans indicated high-level base metal anomaly and low for gold (40-150ppb) and silver. All gossans appear to be structurally controlled by J-folds occurring at the intersection of a J-fold and north west trending shears. Only the main gossan has been drilled. Further investigation is required. |
