dc.description.abstractDuring 1998/99 exploration was limited to the compilation of previous reports and reviews. Photo research and reconnaissance studies of the recent alluvial mining operation were also carried out together with some geological mapping of exposed areas of the tenement adjacent to the main dam. A soil sampling programme was completed at Hayes Creek Wayside, south of the Main Dam wall continuing towards the southern boundary of the EL. 100 grab soil samples were collected but only 9 samples returned elevated gold values (1g/t). Grab sampling was also carried out north of the main camp shed, indicating again approximately 1g/t Au values. This exploration programme was aimed at proving profitable alluvial deposits on the MCNs 5233, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 with the intention of mining if and when these MCNs are granted. The details of the geochemical analysis are not included in this report.en_US
