Abstract: | In the first two years a multi-client aeromagnetic survey was acquired and used in conjunction with aerial photographs to produce a geological map. The area was flown to acquire colour aerial photographs. A digital elevation model was also acquired. Soil sampling was completed on a grid system, results were low with 11 samples containing >4 ppb Au, with 2 samples containing 89 and 97 ppb Au. These values occur as part of a NW trending anomaly within the adjacent tenement, SEL 7984. A detailed aeromagnetic/radiometric survey with 50m line spacing was completed during 1997-98. Further soil sampling was completed in 1998-99, and include the previous 89 and 97 ppb Au area. The anomaly was confirmed but was found to be derived from alluvial material. |
