Abstract: | The report describes exploration work carried out over the area. Following the previous exploration activities mostly on an eastwest grid, sampling program was designed to test northsouth direction. 73 soil and rock chip samples were collected. The southern part was found not prospective and further work was undertaken within part of the tenement where Deakin prospect is located. The prospecting has been carried out within the tenement north and south along strike from the Deakin Prospect. Sampling 150m south of Deakin returned average grade 3.53 g/t Au with the highest value of 8.5 g/t Au. The meneralised zone extends over the 1500m. Sampling 150m north of prospect returned average grade 0.8 g/t Au with consistent values (0.5 to 1.7 g/t Au) along 1000m strike. West of Deakin (400 m), a second set northerly trending quartz veins returned a top value of 0.6 g/t Au. Further work on the Deakin prospect and MCN (A) 5073 is considered in the near future. |
