Title: | First annual report for EL 5410 Tanami - Rabbit Flat Area 1990 |
Title Holder / Company: | Zapopan Tanami Joint Venture Kumagai Gumi Kintaro Metals Harlock |
Report id: | CR1990-0390 |
Tenure: | EL5410 |
Year: | 1990 |
Abstract: | Interpretation of gravity and magnetic data indicates that much of the EL is underlain by granite, unformally the Frankenia Dome. Highly magnetic zones around the periphery of the granite indicates the presence of rocks of Lower Proterozoic age, similar to those near the Tanami Mine. In the northwest of the licence there is a curvilinear magnetic zone striking northeast, which resembles the host sequence of the Granites Mines. Checks of geochemical results indicated an analytical problem, contamination from high grade samples into subsequent lower grade samples. Only one significant laterite geochemical trend is observed within the EL. There is a broad trend (>50ppm, 3km x 4km) in the southeast associated with rocks mapped as Antrium Plateau Volcanics. Scattered elevated levels of tin, molybdenum, arsenic, silver and gold were observed in the northwest. |
