Abstract: | A review of exploration undertaken by WMC in the period 1989-1991 over the licence areas is presented in this report. On the basis of available information EL's 6417 and 4833 were deemed to be of low priority and no field work was undertaken in these licences. In 1990 EL4831 was covered by an extensive lag sampling programme. The results from which were all <= 2ppb Au. EL4825 covers the southern portion of the Brown's Range Dome which WMC have interpreted as a multiphase granite dome adjacent to lower and middle Tanami Complex rocks. Material from PNC's 1988 drill programme underwent multielement analysis. This outlined a broad halo which may relate to a hydromorphic dispersion pattern. Follow up returned a maximum of 36 ppb Au. No further action has been recommended for this permit. |
