Abstract: | The relinquished portion of SEL 9679 comprises part or wholly of the following tenements, EL's 8140, 8143, 8636, 8202, 8867 and SEL 9212. Exploration within the relinquished portion of SEL 9679 during the first year of tenure has included database compilation, acquisition of Landsat/SPOT imagery, rock chip sampling, gridding and soil sampling. The interpretation of the digital data generated 65 anomalies of which two are located in the relinquished portion. Follow up geochemical sampling has downgraded the potential of these two anomalies, resulting in relinquishment of the area. 426 soil samples were collected within the relinquished area, with occasional anomalism obtained. The better results obtained include 260ppb Au at the Highway Prospect. In addition two rock chip samples were taken with the better result being 0.11g-t Au. |
