Abstract: | The tenements were evaluated by an extensive literature research and review of historical data. Investigation of previous holes drilled concluded that most holes are drilled into the footwall lithologies to the potential unrealised (Sorby Hills equivalent) sequence. Photogeological interpretation has indicated that the control of the basin is by NE trending faults which form part of the Halls Creek fault system. In addition N-S subsidiary splay faults are prominent and are believed to control the Pb-Zn mineralisation. A regional seismic interpretation was completed which indicated a structural upwarp within EL 9533 and is considered favourable for mineralisation, however its depth at 300m precludes evaluation. A kimberlitic search was included within ELs 9533 and 9579 and included ground magnetics and loam sampling. However no indicator minerals were located. |
