| Abstract: | Aerial magnetic data from an early 1980s Ashton survey was acquired over EL 8556. A number of anomalies were identified in this survey and one was covered by a small helimag survey. None of the chosen anomalies warranted drilling. Ground inspection of features identified on available TM images failed to find any evidence of kimberlitic rocks. Planned regional stream sediment sampling was not carried out. The licence is not considered to contain economic kimberlite diatremes and is recommended for surrender. |
