Abstract: | Work aimed to follow up base metal geochem anomalies highlighted by Geopeko and BMR in previous work, and to look for extensions to Au mineralisation found to the north of EL7670 by Northern Gold. Costeaning data only in this report. All work conducted prior to the 1997-98 reporting period is referenced to the relevant annual report for details of results, plans etc. Detailed airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys, and detailed gravity survey were conducted over geochem anomalies. Costeaning aimed to aid in the interpretation of the structure and stratigraphy of the area. Max 500ppm Pb and 300ppm Zn are coincident with surface geochem highs, which are previously identified narrow zones of base metal anomalism. No supergene enrichment was located. |
