| Abstract: | Aeromagnetic interpretation has inferred a lineament - Blue Ant geosuture - which has been tested by 1 corehole to 605m. Target sought is a Cosmo-Howley/Lead-Dakota style gold deposit within silicate- sulphide - carbonate facies banded ironstone facies. The corehole intersected 177 metres Cambrian limestone then into Proterozoic basement lithologies. The major lithologies intersected include: metasiltstone, metatuff, chloritic and cherty BIF, pegmatite, aplite, granite, dolerite. No gold anomalism obtained, but an arsenical zone was intersected at +250 metres associated with a quartz vein. |
