| Abstract: | The report summarises exploration activities over the 1988 to 1991 period. In 1988-9 time the Su Ah Ray prospect was gridded, geochemically sampled and mapped. Soil and rock chip Au anomalies were associated with zones of sheeted to stockwork quartz-ilmenite veining. The results of drilling in 1988 were generally disappointing with results generally <0.01ppm Au. In MP2 there was one intercept at 8.01g-t Au over 1m, and 13m at 1.16% Zn including 2m at 3.33% Zn. In 1990 work concentrated on MCN's 335 and 336 which have a ridge composed of quartz reef and silicified sediments running their length. Rock chip results of this ridge were encouraging returning a maximum of 7.4 g-t Au as well as anomalous responses for Pb, Ag and As. 6 RC holes totalling 400m were drilled (RC1 to RC6). Drilling results downgraded the potential of the area. No significant deposit was outlined by the work to date |
