Abstract: A review of the Carlton Project database indicated that it required updating and improving and a geostatistical review was undertaken, but it is only of a preliminary nature due to the lack of paired RC and diamond drilling. Gold mineralisation at the International line is predominantly quartz vein hosted; structure appears to be a secondary control on mineralisation. Gold appears to occur on the southwest flank of the International Anticline and within the Carlton Syncline. Gold mineralisation on tracks along the unit are referred to as the International Marker. At Gandy's Hill the gold mineralisation lies within the major south plunging anticlinal fold of the Gandy's Hill Anticline. Quartz mineralisation occurs within the core of the structure, as massive reefs, stringers and veins with the argillite unit.
