Abstract: | During the second year of tenure 1:10 000 scale geological mapping was undertaken. 11 geological traverses were completed, with continuous scree-lag sampling and 7 rock chip samples. This programme has shown that has shown the southern two blocks to be near devoid of outcrop and the residual soil has poor geochemistry. They have therefore been relinquished. Work to date in the remaining area was concentrated in the NE quadrant. This work returned a max rock chip sample of 0.112ppm Au from a quartz blow, and a max soil sample of 0.05ppm Au from line F. Future work to include RAB drilling. |
