Annual and terminal report on EL 2361, 10-09-1980 to 09-091986

Abstract

This report includes a brief review of the geology of EL 2361 together with an overview of exploration completed during the period of the licence. Exploration in the period 1982-1984 focussed on helicopter assisted rock chip sampling and assay of 66 samples for Au, As and Pb. The most anomalous values were obtained from sample 32 (70.80ppm Au, 1.37% As, 22ppm Pb), sample 12 (11.28ppm Au, 964ppm As, 120ppm Pb), and sample 22 (8.80ppm Au, 4478ppm As, 122ppm Pb). During 1985 and 1986 Western Mining completed an assessment of rock chip anomalies and relatively detailed traverse soil sampling over the licence area. 2x20m x -80# composite soil samples were collected on 36.4 line km. Results are not included in the report.
