Abstract: 4 airborne magnetic anomalies were identified from 1980 Geoterrex Survey. 3 of the anomalies had been drilled by BHP and returned anomalous Ni, Cr, Co and Nb which was considered significant. The anomalies were gridded and ground magnetics completed to aid targetting. 6 RAB holes {327m} were completed, 2 in each anomaly. Results did not compare with the previous work by BHP. With the presence of small diamondiferous kimberlite pipes near Timber Creek it was decided to test the alluvial potential of the area. An area of gravel deposits was clearly seen. 15 sites were excavated with some 3514 tonnes of material being screened. The grade proved disappointing, 16 diamonds weighing 0.723cts being recovered. In addition 34 RAB holes {390m} were completed. No kimberlite material was located.
