Abstract: | 36 heavy mineral samples were collected and processed. No diamond or kimberlitic indicator minerals were recovered. At each of these heavy mineral sites a geochemical stream sediment sample was collected. In general the results were low. It is noted that Pb, Ba, Mn and Cs were slightly elevated. The significance of these values is unknown because of the low sampling density. In addition the area was covered by an airborne magnetic survey, with a 200m line spacing and flight lines N-S. One anomaly was identified. Ground follow up attributed the anomaly to iron rich laterite. |
