Title: EL 9074 1996-1997 annual report 05-06-1996 to 04-06-1997
Title Holder / Company: Territory Goldfields

Year: 1997

Abstract: EL 9074 is located approximately 31 kilometres north - west of Pine Creek and 13 kilometres east north - east of Hayes Creek on the Burrundie 1:50,000 (14/6-IV) scale map sheet. The licence contains prospective rocks of the Zamu Dolerite and Koolpin Formations. Tight folding of the rocks has developed, making the region structurally prospective, similar to the Cosmo Howley and Golden Dyke mines to the south - west. Previous work within EL 9074 was completed mainly over old exploration licences. EL 9074 was previously held as EL 3138 by Geopeko Limited and Anaconda Australia, EL 4817 by CSR Exploration, Cyprus Gold Australia, Hudspeth and Co. and Arimco N.L., and as EL 7113 by Northern Gold N.L. The exploration carried out over the region included rock chip sampling, soil sampling, stream sediment sampling and shallow RC drilling. In the 1995/96 year of tenure, Northern Gold N.L. completed a work program involving digital data acquisition and manipulation to assess the structural geology and determine the best method of exploration to be used on the licence. EL 9074 was granted to Dominion Gold Operations Pty. Ltd. on the 5th of June 1995 for a period of three years. The tenement is now held by Territory Goldfields N.L. and managed by Northern Gold N.L. During the 1996/97 year of tenure, Northern Gold N.L. completed a work program based on the manipulation of DTM, aerial magnetics and remote sensing data.
