Abstract: | Pynthesis of available aeromagnetic and gravimetric indicated the presence of a 3km magnetic high zone within a 14x4km magnetic complex that could be draped over a granitic mass. Proterozoic lithologies are overlain by younger Cambrian sediments. 168 MMi soil samples were collected along lines 400m apart and at 100m centres. Results from this did not appear to reflect mineralisation associated with the Proterozoic. A diamond drill hole tested a magnetic ridge and it intersected a broad zone of chertz BIF and pegamatite from 528-592m. The highest gold intersection was 0.08ppm, whilst arsenic peaked at 1950ppm within this zone. |
