Abstract: | Work concentrated on the Abrolhos North and South prospects with EL 6744, with 33 deep RC holes and a single core hole was completed. At Abrolhos north two separate uneconomic mineralised zones have been intersected with occasional economic intercepts made in the supergene zone. I.e. 1m at13.7g/t Au. Anomalous arsenic is associated with the gold anomalism and is related to quartz veining. At the Abrolhos South prospect significant gold anomalism was obtained in the RC holes and is related to quartz veining associated with a dolerite unit. The better mineralisation has been observed in the supergene zone. Both prospects show significant mineralisation (uneconomic) in multiple shear zones and suggests an extensive shear system. |
