Abstract: | The licence is almost completely covered with aeolian sand with areas of colluvium and alluvium. Due to the restricted outcrop only 4 laterite samples and 1 rock chip sample were taken. Checks of analysis indicated some procedural problems. Due to the small number of samples no anomalies were outlined. A spot As values of 25ppm (sample 53151) if the assay proves correctly may prove anomalous. Interpretation of the aeromagnetics shows two areas of prominent magnetic highs. The western zone occurs on the periphery of the 'Frankenia Dome', and is inferred to be a sequence of interbedded mafic rocks and volcaniclastic sediments. The eastern zone of magnetic comprises a series of arcuate magnetic highs also of Lower Proterozoic age as is the western anomaly. No Landsat data is supplied. |
