Abstract: | These titles were held to explore for base metals and gold and were part of a larger project covering 16 titles. Although this report only purports to cover ELs 4785-87 and 4789-91, comments on other titles have been included. Interpretation of remote sensed data focused work in the Keep and Pinkerton, Newry and Waterloo and Negri areas. A helicopter supported sampling program collected an unspecified number of samples from undisclosed locations. In all cases Au was at or near the detection limit, the highest being 0.007 ppm. 'Anomalous' base metals were reported from basalts in EL 4789; sand and gravel and conglomerate in ELs 5383 and 5389; and ELs 4791 and 5386 where volcanics and limonite after sulphides were reported. Only a fax copy was provided. A promised more-comprehensive hardcopy with analytical data was never received. |
