Title: | Report on EL 6079, Mount Todd Northeast, NT |
Title Holder / Company: | Young RJ |
Report id: | CR1989-0236 |
Tenure: | EL6079 |
Year: | 1988 |
Author: | Thornett, SE |
Abstract: | This report details an exploration programme of geological mapping and reconnaissance rock chip sampling which was undertaken during the first year of tenure. Mapping and sampling of the EL have failed to locate any definite targets for further exploration. The analytical results for the 87 samples collected are generally very low. Only one zone was found which contained anomalous samples for gold (max 0.17 g/t and 0.14 g/t), but as the values for these were low and numerous surrounding samples were barren, the area shows little potential for discovery of economic mineralisation and no further work is recommended. |
