Abstract: | EL 2700 reduced to a single graticular block located on the old Cullen mineral Field to the east of Golden Dyke. Early work on the title by Ken Day was restricted to locating old workings, banded iron formations and nodular cherts that might indicate favourable stratigraphy for gold. In year 6, all major drainages were sampled for gold and 27 costeans were dug across drainage systems. Some of these were inadvertently located outside the title. Visible gold was located in three costeans. Six trenches were dug along favourable hardrock stratigraphy. Again, most were outside the title. The Nord Gossan, previously located by Nord Resources, was found to be 6 m wide and 1000 m long and conformable with bedding in a sericite rich Gerowie Tuff outcrop along Krana Creek. The dip is shallowly to the east, meaning that previous trenches by Nord failed to adequately test the feature. MCNs were applied for. |
