| Abstract: | Detailed mapping and sampling were carried out over the Coppermine prospect, and a regional stream sediment survey covered the tenement. Two anomalous areas associated with the Coppermine prospect did not yield further results of any significance. A mineralised dolomite outcrop also occurs 1 mile north of Hammers Hut (site id 1875 in MODAT). A further anomalous copper area was delineated from the coarse fraction of stream sediment sampling in the SE corner of the AP. The corresponding fine fractions remained at background levels, suggesting a mechanical dispersion for the copper, and no economic significance is attached to this zone. |
