Title: | Report on Relinquished Area from EL 4415, September, 1986 (Part 1). |
Title Holder / Company: | Territory Resources |
Report id: | CR1987-0070 |
Tenure: | EL4415 |
Year: | 1987 |
Abstract: | Exploration in the catchment area of the Margaret River, and in the top section of the Margaret River itself, has disclosed a substantial resource of economic gold-bearing gravels. As portions of this resource lie within both MLN 1023 and MLN 1024, the areas are best viewed together, hence, the proposed mining plan has been compiled with that in mind. Territory Resources NL has purchased a gold recovery plant which is currently being erected at Sandy Creek. This plant has been purchased with the intention of utilizing it for colluvial and shallow alluvial deposits in the area, and for bulk testing the larger Margaret River resource. Due to the size of the Yam Creek -Margaret River resource, finalization of the mining method has not been determined at this stage, and the mining plan should be regarded as a preliminary one, which will be amended as further exploration results are known. |
