Abstract: Work completed in the first year of sampling includes an orientation geochemical survey, photo and airborne magnetic interpretation, gridding, 22.9 line kms ground magnetics, 59 auger holes, 397 soil, 51 lag and 53 rock chip samples. Lag and rock chip geochemistry failed to highlight any anomalous values. Soil sampling outline two areas with anomalous gold values, peaking at 2.24ppb and 2.04ppb Au. Both areas are near outcropping Mount Charles Beds (Ridge and Campsite Prospects). The ground magnetic survey delineated target areas for an auger drill programme. Many holes penetrated into saprolite derived from weathered granite or dolerite. 2 holes had anomalous geochemistry, corresponding to an area of anomalous surface geochemistry (Ridge Prospect)
