Abstract: Regional rock chip geochemistry outlined two gold anomalies in quartz veining with associated arsenic pyrite mineralisation. Auger drilling and trenching failed to locate the in situ source of the auriferous quartz vein. A single trench at the Hoppy anomaly showed a continuation of the Co-Nu anomaly. Petrography on 4 sample in 1989 suggested the presence of mafic-ultramafic rocks inferring that the anomaly was due to deep seated sulphide mineralisation rather than laterisation. Next year work is to include drilling.
The seismic refraction part of the report is in Spanish no translation is provided. Petrography on 1989 sampling not report in the 1989 Annual report.
