Abstract: | Rock chip sampling of stratabound gossanous bands and lenses above the Gerowie Tuff returned results to 0.36ppm gold, 161ppm copper 144ppm lead, 50ppm zinc, and 2ppm silver. Gossanous quartz reefs occur near the southern boundary. The northern portion of these reefs are mineralized and sampling showed no gold anomalies. Gossanous lenses within the Koolpin Formation contained up to 510ppm copper 108ppm lead, 232ppm zinc and 2ppm silver. A siliceous sandstone directly above the Koolpin Formation contains up to 0.02ppm gold and 1ppm silver. |
