Abstract: | A ground magnetic survey was carried out. Intense magnetic gradients were indicated on the northwest flank of the hill. The results show a small high amplitude anomaly coincident with outcropping ironstones. The anomaly will be modelled to determine dimensions and depth of ironstone-magnetically altered sediment. The scintillometer survey produced no anomalous results. 138 channel samples were taken and though values were generally low all but 10 samples had gold values greater that threshold. Further work is to include geophysical modelling sampling of specific lithologies. |
